Padded bags and cases have foam sandwiched between layers of fabric to protect instruments from shock and temperature extremes as well as moisture and contaminants. The entire front and top sections of the bag open to allow the instrument to be used while still in the bag. There is a web strap with hook and loop to hang the bag over wires or pipes to free up both hands for work. There is a side pocket for the leads and a web carry handle attached to the bag.
