Job description
We are currently seeking a Shipper to join our team in Toronto, near Toronto Pearson International Airport. The Shipper is responsible for all typical areas of warehousing duties such as shipping, inventory counting, receiving, picking and quality check of items.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, ensure compliance to applicable policies and procedures, and contribute to continuous customer satisfaction through timely, accurate order fulfillment. Must be willing to work as a back-up driver.

Responsibilities


• Ensure accuracy of all shipments
• Ensure complete organization of all stored containers
• Coordinate all shipments, including LTL truck deliveries and pick-ups
• Communicate with carriers
• Participate in annual inventory
• Assist in all logistics departments as required
• Maintain safe work practices
• Pick, receive, and count inventory and ship as required
• Act as a back-up to company driver

SKILLS/PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge of logistics principles
• Knowledge of standard safety practices
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communications skills
• Ability to work and succeed without direct supervision
• Strong team and collaborative skills
• Enjoys working with people
• Uses computer technology at the intermediate user level, at minimum

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Post-secondary education and/or minimum 5 years working experience
• Experience with processing shipments
• Valid ‘G' License with Clean Driver’s Abstract
